I have never in life meant anyone so rude. This is my first bad review and I am in disbelief. The Classpass app suggest I get there 15 mins early so I did and I am told that I am early and I let her know that the app said to come in early and she just looks at me like I am stupid and says WELL I HAVE A CLIENT… and I say ok… I can wait… I know I’m early… my appointment time is here and nobody has told me to go in. Someone comes out late, doesn’t greet me, immediately asks how I am paying and I said class pass and she looks at me crazy again and just said what Fast forward to the massage, I am not asked if I want deep, stone, etc which the app description states. I know sometimes Classpass doesn’t have the most accurate description so I don’t really say anything. The massage is mediocre at MOST. My massage ends and I ask her if I can tip her via card and she says sure. Asks me how much I would like to tip, I tell her and she has the audacity to tell me… most people tip more can you tip more….. truly a disgusting business and energy in this place. Use your credit somewhere else where Gratuity will actually be appreciated. Very greedy and rude people.

I just had a CBD oil massage at Danville Spa & Massage for the first time, and it was incredible! The staff was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was calming and peaceful. The massage helped alleviate my back and neck pain and left me feeling rejuvenated. They also let me pick the oil for my massage. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a refreshing and therapeutic experience 🙂

We had Tonight massage - My Wife and I had a 8pm appointment,
Had an one issue for the 1st time, and the manager followed the next day up with a sincere apology.
We have gone to other locations averaging 12 times a year,
over the past 10 years, so have had in the past a very good experience
to judge.
We now have changed our review to reflect the past 6 prior experiences

I bought a gift certificate for my wife that had NO expiration date on it in Dec 2019. She went to redeem it three years later and hadn't tried earlier due to the pandemic. She was told that the business had been sold and the gift certificate could not be honored even though the name of the business, contact information and everything else remained the same on the gift certificate. This is bad business practice and they've lost a customer.

I really wanted to like this place as I appreciate small businesses in general and getting a massage was a long time coming in the midst of the pandemic.

So first the good: place was clean. Front desk was friendly (more about that below).

The disappointing: I bought a couples massage for my gf and although my masseuse seemed competent with Thai style massage, she did not concentrate on the area I communicated (upper back). It was as though she did not hear me.

The masseuse for my gf did not apply enough pressure and appeared as though she was following the routine of my masseuse (we were in the same room). Unfortunately she did not feel the skill level of her masseuse was very high. But then again we all have different tastes and this can be subjective.

Maybe there should have been an intake form inquiring about our preferences or needs; but that was never offered. That may have helped in this circumstance.

Lastly, when I went to pay for the couples massage, I informed them that they could add my tip to the bill and she replied that I could add it myself and that $20 or more was customary. She repeated this 3 times. Now, considering the quality of massages we just received, my thoughts on the amount were closer to 10 or 15... sorry, I don’t reward lack of communication, and low quality service with a big tip. More importantly, since when is it it customary, polite or in even in good taste to tell/push your customers and tell them what they should be tipping.

Obviously, the price posted for any service, is expected after services are rendered in any business. But then if you turn around and harangue and shake down your customers for money that was never expected or made clear upfront, it leaves a very bad taste and is a terrible way to do business.

Politeness, communication and transparency in fees are good markers and starting points for any business. Unfortunately this business didn’t show any of these courtesies on this day.

I have been impressed with the professionalism of the Danville Massage Therapy. The masseuses are very polite and willing to focus on area that I requested for them to work on. The rooms are very clean and quit with the soft music creates a excellent relaxing atmosphere. The price was very reasonable for the service I received. I will continue to go the DANVILLE MASSAGE THERAPY for a professional massage. I always feel exuberated and energized after a 60-minute massage. They do a great job

I wish I could give this place higher review. The staff and the facility were nice. However, they lost 3 stars from me for several reasons.

1. The massage was bad. The therapist didn't seem to have the concept of tight muscles. As soon as she touched my neck, I told myself, "This was going to be a long 90 min" and it was. I basically had a body rub. I had pain at my neck, shoulder and legs and none of that got better after the massage. This is why I wrote this review so that you won't have to waste your time if you were hoping a massage can help you with your pain.

2. There was no hand sanitizer in the massage room or in the waiting room. The entrance door was kept closed at all time. There was no window. There was no air purifier either. Other massage places I went to had all of these things to help prevent COVID spread.

3. Their payment device suggested a minimum tip of 30%. This is not what I'd like to tip given the service I received.

4. If you looked at the previous reviews of this business, you could see that many of the reviewers have given only 1 review ever. This looks suspicious to me. I wished I had paid attention to those details before wasting my time there.

I have been this massage spa a couple of times once I had 90 mins with Jennifer and another with Mia for 60 minutes. Both were perfect pressure on my back and both asked if I was ok with the pressure, I felt so relaxed when the massage finished. I never had a bad experience at this spa.
