Hip pain was keeping me awake at night so I went to see Eileen at Ginkgo Tree. It was my first experience with acupuncture and I must say that I was quite impressed. Eileen was very professional and explained everything that she was going to do. I felt comfortable during the treatment and I’m optimistic that it will relieve my hip pain.

A friend referred me to Gingko Tree Accupuncture because I was in serious need of relief from some painful things I had been dealing with. I had tried conventional therapies and medicines to no avail. When I met Eileen I immediately felt a sense of comfort right away. I am very lucky to have found her. I had major reconstructive surgery where they took a bone out of my leg to reconstruct my face. Even with the meds the pain was incredible. I was desperate and chose to give it a try. The difference was immediate and significant. It made the pain bearable and also helped with circulation.

The Eileen at Ginkgo Tree was amazing, her obvious knowledge of the human nervous system and how to get the most out of acupuncture was extremely reassuring. Her bed side manner was also remarkably calming which was critical for me as I have a hard time relaxing for this sort of thing. I went for quite some time. She will be my first choice the need arises again.

I went as a first timer and highly recommend you try it also! I have always shyed away from acupuncture but thought it could help me relax. Eileen was welcoming and friendly, and after briefly discussing my health concerns she started off with cupping my back (think of Michael Phelps in the Olympics). This was to relieve some tightness and soreness by creating space for blood flow to heal the muscles, opposite of massage which compresses. I feel great still!

Next Eileen put me at ease by explaining how she places the needles and what sensations I should (and should not) feel. After strategically placing about 15 needles to address my health concerns she left me to relax. Don't ask me how but I fell asleep on the table!

After waking back up to reality she had prepared a list of recommendations to help me control my breathing and experiment with relaxation techniques to de-stress and improve my life.

I highly recommend anyone reading this go visit Eileen and her lovely office and experience acupuncture if you are uneasy about it. She will make you comfortable and take great care of you. Thank you Eileen for such an amazing first experience, we will be back!
