You're probably looking at acupuncture places because you're desperate. Western medicine has either failed you, or offered you options (surgery, ineffective prescriptions, yet another round of physical therapy, etc.) that you would rather avoid.

You probably don't "believe" that this will work, and you certainly don't believe in the rhetoric they use like, "energy" and "toxins".

Let me set your mind at ease. Acupuncture does work. Dr. Mieko and Dr. Melissa are not only certified in acupuncture, but both hold actual doctorate degrees in fields like biology. Dr. Melissa is even a certified pain therapist.

You're going to go through several stages of assessment and treatment. Then they're going to present you with a treatment plan that is both short term and long term. They're going to give you directions on everything from acupressure to diet. Follow it. Do it. Even if it feels silly or unrelated. Go all in and commit to the bit.

We see Dr. Melissa most often, and I adore her. She is bright and sunny, very thorough, and so easy to talk to. Dr. Mieko is a gem, is always happy to see you, and is exacting in her treatment.

After only a couple of appointments, both receptionists knew us on sight. They could remember our names, and would pull out our charts as soon as we entered.

The rooms are complete with dim-able lights, soothing music, and adjustable treatment beds with extra pillows if needed. Everything is very clean, and the rooms are totally wiped down between patients.

Each room also has heat lamps for focusing on pain, as well as little heaters to warm the room as a whole. These are particularly nice on chilly, rainy days.

Some rooms have comfortable couches or chairs for people accompanying the patient, and the receptionists pay close attention to put you in one of these rooms if you have someone with you.

There is a brewery next door that can be rather noisy, but is rarely ever intrusive to the environment the staff have created here.

The doctors at Integra have really made a positive difference with my health through acupuncture treatments. I am impressed by the doctors' willingness to talk through my issues and apply the right treatments during my sessions.

My energy has been boosted, my chronic 60yr old knee pain has gone and I like having knees that are decades younger. My lower back aches have also diminished drastically and my flexibility is improving.

I believe that even without any ailments, that I will try to proceed with acupuncture as a form of preventative health management, that I will integrate with regular stretching and other wellness activities.

I highly recommend Integra. If you're on the fence about "needles", I would say to at least try it out. The needles are a lot thinner and you can barely feel them.

Honest opinion: Giving four stars for Mieko and at times Melissa although Melissa seemed unorganized and forgetful. The Older Chinese lady who works at the desk is super rude and pushy. Her and Melissa also reply to reviews unprofessionally if clients write honestly and don’t provide 5 stars. I found a Korean acupuncturist in my hometown that I switched to who provides cupping and acupuncture in a quieter and more comfortable environment. Three stars for overall experiences. This place is ok but you get what you pay for. Ask for Mieko (Japanese) if you go.

I cannot express how amazing and wonderful this group of women are ❤️. Dr. Melissa and Dr. Mieko have been so exceptional. Their office team, Mia and Lee, are just as amazing as the doctors are!
Their support throughout my journey to pregnancy and battling anxiety has been nothing less than unconditional love. They have gone above and beyond to make me feel like part of the family. Dr. Yang is a phenomenal doctor. Her bedside manner is superb, she is incredibly knowledgeable, and she genuinely cares about her patients. I have now undergone treatment with her twice in the last 5 years and have experienced major success after both treatment series. Because of Dr. Yang and her practice, I went from being in crippling pain every day to feeling whole and pain-free. My quality of life has improved greatly because of my acupuncture treatments at Integra.

Dr. Yang's staff is excellent and she runs her business well. She offers a range of appointment times to suit almost any schedule and there is rarely any wait to see her for a scheduled appointment. The office is clean and the rooms are comfortable. Her staff does everything in their power to ensure patients are comfortable and supported during their sessions.
