Generally speaking, this company is providing what they offer, “pain management solutions”, but I’m not sure I’d say they are “specialists”. They are providing drugs to patients who are requesting them, but their service could be much better. For example, our family works with Dr. Patel and he requires a monthly check in for the prescriptions needed. Not a problem. And he’s willing to do these check ins virtually, which is nice. But he regularly is late to the appointments, usually 15-45 minutes late. This is quite frustrating.

Dr Pirouz is the first Dr to help me. I've been begging for help and it fell upon deaf ears. Finally a Dr who listens to me and doesn't treat me like an addict. Short waiting times, staff is alright, and I just love Dr pirouz. He is so nice and listens to everything I say and make sure I'm good before I leave. I couldn't ask for a better Dr

Have been coming to this place for years. Love the Doctor, and some of the staff, but there is no organization, overbooking, no privacy in the waiting room and very long wait times in very uncomfortable chairs. Waited 3 hours yesterday and never did get my procedure and finally had to walk out in massive pain. I will be filling a complaint with management as this has happened many times now. I am a retired healthcare professional and would not recommend this surgery center in its present condition to anyone. In my opinion, it needs a major over haul.

I felt rushed & Dr Patel kept interrupting me after he asked me questions 🤨 I was trying to ask questions but nobody had answers. Also the staff seemed like they were afraid to talk to the doctor. It felt awkward to me. I don’t know if I will go back. My pain management doctor in Sacramento at Sutter was more professional and thorough. The office in Atascadero was dirty as well. The bathroom had urine on the toilet and the counter where apparently you put the samples 🤦🏻‍♀️ Gross!

I have been waiting for five months to go to physical therapy still have yet to get the paperwork from this office to the physical therapy office. I find myself waiting for about an hour after my appointment scheduled. And these doctors do not know much about medical cannabis, I had an epidural injections, didn’t know that I need to stop taking my medical cannabis before being put under anesthesia. This doctor office does not do a good job in healthcare, nothing but opiate pushers. Make sure you take those pills every day, or they will stop prescribing them to you even if you plan on taking them when you need them the most. If you’re looking for a doctor to prescribe opiate medications for by needed I would recommend to go to different doctors. As I will be.

Long waits. They don't necessarily take patients in the order received. When I complained to staff they said they'll correct that but they didn't. So when I mentioned it to the nurse practitioner she said I should talk to staff. I tried to tell her that I had complained to staff and that they said they would correct it with her. She interrupted me and said that " they are not private practitioners" and cut me off. That was it. I felt like I got the run around with no body taking responsibility for finding a solution. I wouldn't complain but this happened two of the three times I've been there. Now I am scheduled for a back procedure. I hope that goes well!

Since writing the review below I know see Dr. Pirouz. He is an excellent Dr with a great bed side manner and truly caring and compassionate Dr. I've now been treated by Dr. Untal, Levitan, Woods & Pirouz. Dr Woods, while very skilled & knowledgeable, was the only one that I did not connect with at all.
Dr Levitan is my treating surgeon has been very easy to work with and extremely caring. He had provided medications, referrals & epidural injection's for me. Recently he implanted a medtronics spinal cord stimulator in my lumbar spine. This has given me huge relief of sciatic pain and lumbra neuropathy. I'm scheduled for a cervical epidural again in 5 days, and while the surgery center can be quite busy, he and his staff are caring, comasionate and dedicated to whole patient care. I could not rate him highly enough.
I have also been a patient of Dr Untal and treated by Dr Patel who both have excellent beside manner. The nurses and techs in the surgery center have a stressful job and are usually extremely busy. They are often overworked as getting people out of pain or treating the pain is their priority so the schedule can be over-filled due to emergency procedures. I've waited 2 hours past appointed time and been seen immediately.
Patients like me, who are in intense pain or chronic severe pain, are often short, curt, rude and can be disrespectful. The Dr's nurses and staff have still remained calm, cool and collected.
Candy & Connie at check in work long tiring days and yet they too know that the goal is to treat everyone fairly.
In my opinion most people that have low rating of pain management specialists is due to the wait times they have experienced and not the quality of care.
