Chris provides a thorough consultation, taking the time to discuss each area of concern and explain how acupuncture works. He outlines how he will address each issue and what to expect afterward. His personable and easygoing nature makes the experience even better, and since he only sees one patient at a time, the sessions feel particularly personalized. Before each new session, Chris checks in on my progress from previous ones. Scheduling is straightforward, and he is very responsive to calls and texts. I feel immediate relief after each session and notice even more improvement the next day.

I have been seeing Chris for 9 months for Long Covid. His treatments have been critical to managing my illness. Since I began seeing him, I went from 4 medications for pulmonary issues to 2 (and can actually take a full breath) and my migraines have become manageable--they are more responsive to medication and they are less likely to completely wipe me out. I also, for the first time in my life, can read in a moving vehicle without being motion sick. Moreover, Chris is patient and he meets you where you're at. He doesn't push any practice and he works hard to make the experience personalized and safe. His decades worth of practice experience is evident in his approach to care. I highly recommend Chris as an acupuncturist.

It has now been 10 years since my first acupuncture treatment with Chris Hudson. I was initially interested in acupuncture with the hopes that my stomach issues could be helped. My previous review describes the significant improvement that I experienced--with my stomach issues as well as improvement in my overall health and well-being. Chris's kind nature and sincere care for his patients is felt as soon as you walk in his office.

Once I started my family, however, I didn't have time to make it over to Philly to continue my acupuncture sessions (we live across the bridge).
Many years went by without treatment and my kids are now in grade school. A month ago, my husband and I were discussing how good I felt when I was getting acupuncture. After years without treatment, my stomach issues crept back up on me. Also, my energy level had really dropped in recent years. I briefly considered going to a local acupuncturist so I wouldn't have to drive into the city. But when I considered how much Chris helped me, I decided it was worth the trip back into Philadelphia.

When Chris and I discussed my current therapeutic goals, I said I was hoping to get my digestion back on track and to see an improvement with my energy. It has now been a month, and I am beyond thrilled with how well my body has responded. My digestion is so much better! And the increase in energy has exceeded the expectations that I was hoping for.

To sum up a long post ...Chris is highly skilled acupuncturist, and I recommend giving him an opportunity to help you feel your best!!

With all the positive reviews for Chris, it's hard to find new things to say that haven't been posted in the other reviews. My experience with Chris has been as positive as the other reviews here reflect. In addition to the care and time taken to assess your needs and treatment options, Chris regularly checks in with clients to make sure they are seeing a benefit from his treatments. How many other providers are honest enough to keep evaluating with you whether you need continued treatment? The original issues I saw Chris for have been much helped, but I continue treatments for general stress relief and to address other health issues as they arise. If you are uncertain about acupuncture or anxious about finding the right professional, I encourage you to schedule a visit here.

He does a very in-depth consultation to outline all of the areas you need help with, and does a great job explaining how the process works and how he can help you. He has a very light touch, and you barely feel the pins (or don’t feel them at all). He has been able to help me with my anxiety and chronic back pain, among other issues. I have been a patient for about 2 months now, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable acupuncturist!
