Dr. Zhong is wonderful! From sports injuries, to allergies, she has helped me tremendously. Acupuncture has done for me very quickly what chiropractors were not easily able to resolve. While acupuncture may not help everyone, everyone should at least consider it, and Dr. Zhong is the best. Ive gone to her for over 10 years now and will continue to go. If you've had persisting pain or a an injury that hasn't healed, try her out!

Dr. Zhong is is very skilled and I was lucky to find her to help me with the hip pain. I have sciatica and pulled muscle which heart me so badly. After a few appointments I felt much better and have ability to move around.

Dr. Zhong is incredible and I could not recommend her more highly. My sessions with her have provided the only successful treatments of my acid reflux, which I’ve been unable to manage with medication. She’s very thorough in her assessments and provides various suggestions for a comprehensive and holistic treatment plan. She also regularly teaches me easy ways that I can manage my symptoms on my own at home so I’m not just dependent on our sessions. Everyone else at the clinic is also very kind and professional.

Although I was a newcomer to acupuncture, Dr. Zhong's incredible skill and knowledge has made me a firm believer in its effectiveness.

I first visited seeking to heal a bad ankle injury - I did 3 acupuncture sessions in 1 week and went from being entirely unable to walk...to surfing within 7 days. I could barely believe it. It took time for the injury to heal 100%, but the treatments stimulated my body's natural recovery processes and massively accelerated healing.

Since then, Dr. Zhong has also treated me for seasonal colds and general wellness, to great effect. Her depth of knowledge, years of experience, and incisive diagnoses put her at the top of any doctors I've ever worked with - both Eastern and Western. I go out of my way regularly to visit for treatments and upkeep, using acupuncture to boost my natural immunity and investing in long-term health.

On top of acupuncture -and I have an incredibly high bar for massages (from years of Chinese masseuses)- Mia offers the best massage therapy/acupressure whose precision will make you cry in pain/release but walk out feeling like you just got a new body.

I have been going to Dr. Zhong for years (my grandmother is an acupuncturist so I’ve grown up with it). Dr. Z is a great herbalists and doctor. From my chronic neck and shoulder pain, to a broken collarbone and surgery, to fertility needs, she has treated me for many things and I find a lot of relief each time I go. She is an expert that comes with decades of eastern medicine expertise and methods that helps your body to optimize and heal.

I’ve been seeing Dr Zhong for about 12 years now, and throughout my complicated healing journey I still find her to be truly one of the BEST healers around. After moving around LA and seeing other "specialists" ... I've personally found that very few compare as far as her experience, intuitive knowledge, & the genuine compassion/care she offers to her patients.
I have had several chronic injuries (from various accidents, trauma, etc) in several parts of my body: shoulder, neck, hip, sciatica, ankle, etc. She has also helped me deeply with chronic sinus, stomach/digestion and hormonal issues.

Shangyou is very talented! I tore my rotator cuff in July, went to physical therapy, had a cortisone shot and it still hurt 9 months later. After only 1 treatment I felt a huge improvement. I also slept much better. Shangyou is very kind, gentle, and knowledgeable. After only 3 treatments I barely feel the injury. She has offices in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica with a large following for over 40 years, and now most recently in the South OC, Ladera Ranch. I think this is only the second time I have ever written a review, but I feel I must, I was having a horrible pain in my foot that had gone on for a long time , I had seen different doctors , and even a neurologist , I had injections , nothing worked , I decided to try Accupunture as I had tried everything , it probably took about a couple of months of treatments , but the pain went away completely , Doctor Zhong is truly amazing and she really cares about her patients , I would recommend her to anyone suffering from pain
