I went to see Dr. Li about 2 weeks ago for a trigger thumb on my right hand from too much computer work. I had gone to see an orthopedic doctor and we opted for a brace on my right hand to stabilize the thumb, but it didn't really help. In fact, the brace restricted movement in my other four fingers and I was losing muscle...muscle atrophy. After just one visit with Dr. Li, I regained about 80-85% of my mobility in my right hand. I also got a special herbal tea from her to soak my hand in, which feels good and helps loosen it up. I will say that yes, some of the needles hurt going in, but it is just for a moment. Then she puts this nice warm lamp over my hand to warm up the needles and it feels so good. Today I went to see her again as the thumb was still causing me some pain depending on how I used it. She also found a sore spot on my right shoulder that I didn't know was there. So, she treated it also. Now I can move my thumb, hand, and arm so much better. I can straighten my thumb more with no pain. It's like someone pressed the release button. Thank you Dr. Li!! She has given me hope again. Please don't put off seeing her or any acupuncturist, but make sure you go to a good one that is licensed like Dr. Li.

Dr Li has done wonders for me when so many other treatments didn't help. I have 3 herniated discs with sciatica in my lower back and have actively done: PT, chiropractic, massage therapy with little relief. Through acupuncture and cupping, the sciatica is completely gone and I have mild to no back pain most days. I highly recommend the cupping. It's relaxing and you experience no pain. Dr Li is amazing and her pricing is really good. When I first decided to try acupuncture, other doctors in the area quoted me well over $100 per visit with no insurance accepted.

I have been fighting my sciatica pain for some time.
So called my insurance and Texas Acupuncture was in my coverage and I set up an appointment. Staff was super friendly and Dr. Li was amazing.
She asked me several question and proceeded to start the treatment. To my amazement the pain was gone. She asked me to stand up and make some movements that I had problems doing. I had free range of motion and could now bend over and tie my shoes with little to no pain. I will continue follow up session to improve my Sciatica treatment. So if you all have any type of joint pain go see Dr. Li she will fix you all right up.

My husband had read acupuncture could help the healing process so two days later I was in Dr. Li's office for my first session. I have been getting acupuncture for over 10 years. It works. In June of 2022 I started going to Texas Acupuncture for sciatica. I could not bend to tie my shoe and the pain was on the right side and somewhat unbearable. Once I left, I was able to do so. I also went for knee pain in my left knee. Although it took a few extra sessions, I have not had knee pain in over a month. I went for achilles tendonitis too. No problems since. I just love her methods and professionalism and is affordable compared to other acupuncture centers. I am so glad I found Texas Acupuncture for my ailments. I will be going back because now I have limited range of motion in my right arm and shoulder tightness/pain. I will write another once I'm healed. Thank you!

DO NOT RECOMMEND Pearland location: I had high expectations due to reviews, and I was extremely disappointed. I was asked if this was my first experience with acupuncture, I replied that it was in fact my first experience. I didn't catch the Doctors name, as she didn't introduce herself either.
I am in so much discomfort and pain in my lower back and shoulder, that at this point I just wanted relief and I was committed.

There was zero explanation of what to expect, zero bedside manner. She said "where does it hurt?", told me to "undress and lay on the bed". No cover, did not step out, just waited. Again, at this point thought maybe cultural differences, no big deal... and proceeded.

No warning just started placing the needles and told me to take deep breaths. Placed heating lamps over my back, put on music (atleast something positive), and then said "20 mins" and walked out. At this point my faith was strictly in the fact that I've heard good things about acupuncture and hoped it would relieve some pain.

She came in twice didn't say anything, fidgeted with the heat lamps and then left. Then came back in a last time, no heads up, started removing needles. She rubbed my back for about a minute and then said "ok, done, get dressed". She came in while I was just finished putting on my shirt, no knock, no are you dressed? And said "ok, give me credit card". At this point, I had to bite my tongue and remind myself to be respectful of my elders. I politely asked her to give me a minute, as I was still in discomfort/pain and was trying to sit down so I wouldn't have to hover over the chair to get my wallet out of my purse. Once credit card is in hand she asked do I feel better, I said slightly just to be polite, but told her I was still hurting. She tried to rush me off. I had to ask twice.. are there any special instructions.. as this was my first time. She said to walk around for 10 minutes before driving. WORST $100 SPENT (out of pocket). DO NOT RECOMMEND.
